Wendy Ashall is currently a Lecturer at the University of Sussex, she is Module Convener for the Local Lives and Global Issues modules on the Social Science Foundation Year, and also delivers undergraduate teaching for the anthropology department. Having left school and worked for a number of years, Wendy returned to her studies as a mature student, first with the Open University before joining Sussex as an undergraduate (BA Hons Social Anthropology) and then again for Masters study (MA Social and Political Thought). She then spent several teaching Access and Pre Access courses, and delivering initial teacher training at a local FE college, before re-joining Sussex in 2015. Wendy is currently undertaking her doctoral studies part-time with the School of Education and Social Work. In her spare time (!) she is raising two children, a dog, a cat but the fish recently died. She (occasionally) she gets to spend time with her partner.
